About the Project
This project is aimed to engage students in order to foster their creativity using literature in all its richness while introducing diverse attitudes towards both learning & teaching by employing mixing groups Unifying experienced teachers, schools' education tutors, newly hired teachers. pregraduates and students. The project supports entrepreneurship attitude through organizing public events
conducted to their full extent by Students themselves. This project, at the same time, promotes
the ways how to deal with Inclusion. i.e. with students who are the target group either for their underachievement or different social background. It also utilizes Innovative methods of teaching including peer teaching, learning how to learn, soft skills, languages and other key competences.
Our project rejects recent changes and shifts throughout European countries where there is no longer the truth what it used to be some years ago in regards to socio-economic situation. Labour market is constantly evolving and although it’s often problematic to predict what might come next there are certain trends that we surely
know we can count on in the closest future. Among such tendencies belong urgency to develop basic or core skills like numeracy, literacy, languages, digital skills or sciences that are not isolated but rother to promote complex, holistic attitude towards education incorporating transversal skiIIs like collaboration on
tasks, negotiating, sharing information, social interaction, ethics. values and other good quality skills that are of great Importance on the labour market.
Another dimension of our project is represented by strengthening the profile of the role of educator. This is for several reasons. We firmly believe that precisely teachers are those in whose hands is the future of EU citizens so we hire decided to promote their role in order to initiate changes concerning the ways we traditionally treat both the profession itself and the objected groups that are most greatly affected by education. The project engages participant groups that we consider to be core particles of any systematic education from the most influential of all of them - experienced teachers and school's educational tutors - up to the most central and essential group - students who, one day, will become the part of a labour market and some might be new teachers too.
The last, but not least of the priorities is promoting the acquisition of skills and competences. Here we see the striking need to help students with the development of such things like entrepreneurship, learning their own ways in learning and comprehending maths and sciences through problem solving and critical thinking. We want to focus on teaching process as well as on possible forms of assessment that will be taken into consideration and will contribute on the overall evaluation of a student. Thi$ project uses literature as the most fundamental mean in order to achieve our goals with students and other target groups. Any literary genres and forms, varying from the pieces of original, translated or adopted works of national literatures up to the selected world literature and, ofcourse, a big deal of students' own works and texts they’d write themselves will be used.
